Product Description
Finally, there's one simple machine that can sculpt your entire body, including your legs, hips, thighs, and even your buns. And it does it all in just minutes a day in the comfort of your own home! Since the hand gliders are separate, you can change arm positions to focus more on your chest, arms, shoulders, and back, while simultaneously flattening your stomach and trimming those stubborn love handles.

Not a winner.

I found the totaltiger to be a particularly dissapointing product. The totaltiger featured in product literature/on the tv infomercial seems to be of a far higher quality than the version sent to me. In particular, the shiny blue material that covers the equipment, hides a dark secret, that the actual structure of the totaltiger is, infact made from rather inferior wood. The product comes with a video-tape offering very basic advice on how to use the machine, with the exclusion of a guided exercise program. The user of the totaltiger places their hands on two seperate platforms that have wheels on the bottom and simulate a swimming motion across the floor and although this gives a greater deal of motion (and targetting of specific muscle groups) than other forwards-and-back ab-rolling devices, the motion is surprisingly uncomofortable, jerky and could, I believe, cause pretty serious injury to the user if not used correctly. I experienced neck-pain after using the totaltiger, even though I had reconfigured my technique using the equipment several times. On the plus-side, the totaltiger is theoretically a simple and ingenious concept that works on various parts of the body and is easily stored. The totaltiger is an attractive piece of equipment that doesn't take up too much space and if you're at a good level of fitness, then perhaps the totaltiger would suit you. Personally, I would NOT reccomend the totaltiger because unless you are in particularly good shape, it is a piece of machinery that left me in uncomfort and wanting to exercise less. On the basis of effectivess as an exercise-product, I believe that there are many other products that surpass the total tiger in quality, results and user-satisfaction. To sum-up, a clever idea that looks good and could be effective, but that in the long-term, lacks any long-term exercise appeal due to uncomfortable motion and an array of better products in the market. Two stars.
