Tough & Long Lasting!

2/21/2008 - Cynthia of South Carolina, USA writes:

I bought 6 of these tables 3 or 4 years ago, shortly after they came out, and I have never been disappointed by them at all. We use them for everything, from eating to work tables to storage tables to sickbed tables; and I'm getting ready to put all my seedlings on them this spring. LOL These are seriously worth the money!!

great if your couch ridden!

12/31/2007 - amanda of New Jersey, USA writes:

I always wanted this Table Mate when i saw it advertised...finally found it at a retail store for clearance price of 7 dollars! It is a wonder! I got it when I broke my knee, and could get up from the couch....held my books, tv remote phone, handheld games, or snacks..whatever i needed could be in reach. I appreciated the way that the feet smoothly slid out and under the couch when i needed to get up. Only problem was i pinched my fingers when trying o adjust the legs

A Handy Product

11/11/2007 - Larry of Kansas, USA writes:

My wife and I bought four tables and they are much more versatile than ordinary TV trays. We each keep one by our chairs and use them daily to eat on, hold drinks, work puzzles, etc. Our grandkids love to use them for their coloring books and drawing pictures.

Love this table!!

10/21/2007 - Jackie of New York, USA writes:

My husband ordered this as a surprise gift for me. My PC is set up on wall unit in our small apt.and this table works perfectly with my wireless keyboard on it. I can sit in my comfy chair with the keyboard resting on this table and access my PC in total comfort. Also this table is great for eating/watching TV. Unlike snack tables where you have to sit on the edge of your seat hunched over- the tray is the perfect height for dining and the lipped edge will contain accidental spills. It slides away easily & smoothly and my husband very kindly made a thin wood stained board to go over it for when we have company- then I slide it to the side of the chair near the wall, the legs slide under easily and thus are hidden, place a furniture scarf and candy dish on top and voila I have an end table and no one's the wiser! Now, I see they are making them in wood grain colors as well. This is one handy-dandy table!

nice

9/18/2007 - Beth of South Carolina, USA writes:

My mother bought one of these 8 years ago when she became handicapped. Now, my Dad uses it (mom's gone) for breakfast and lunch. Overall, it's been a great little tray. I wouldn't put anything real heavy on it AND it's ugly, but for people who eat in front of the tv, it pulls up close and cleans easily. Dad isn't concerned about the way it looks either!

Table Mate works great!

8/27/2007 - Lee of Georgia, USA writes:

I am very, very glad I bought Table Mate. It does exactly what was shown in the tv ad. It is easy to set up and use, and can handle a lot of weight (I've put two large watermelons on it at the same time) without collapsing or coming apart. I've had zero problems using Table Mate, it has never come apart and it's easy to clean. The only improvements I can think of is to make the tray itself completely flat and offer it in additional colors (black, brown, green, etc.). They make great Christmas gifts!

Good table - some minor complaints

8/18/2007 - Sam of California, USA writes:

I use this for my laptop exclusively. I hated putting the powerbook on the bed or my stomach because after 20 minutes you start to feel your skin burning. It's really convenient. There is a similar desk in [] that's more stylish, but it's fixed in height. Tablemate can be used with many seating arrangements because of its adjustment holes. The adjustment knobs are really tricky to snap into place. It takes about a minute and a half to fold this thing and slide it under the bed. It could use an improvement. I highly recommend it if you don't mind the ugly plastic look and have a patience to fold/unfold it every day.

Good Product

7/16/2007 - Michelle of Florida, USA writes:

I bought mine from [] because I could take it back easily if I did not like it. I am using it right now so I do like it. However, there are two things that could be improved upon. It needs a stronger top-it is slightly bowed and was like this when I got it (I thought it was normal). The bow causes things to slide so i do not use it for eating. Second, the angle (to use the laptop)is too steep so I use it at the level setting. It stays in the same position and is very portable.

Good but not great

3/11/2007 - James of California, USA writes:

I do use and like this product but it is not sturdy enough for many tasks as there is no back end support. It works well for TV dining but the rather small surface area is a negative.

Buy 2!

1/21/2007 - Anonymous of Iowa, USA writes:

Pros: Works as described; easy to get close to you; sturdy. Cons: would like different colors and a couple inches more workspace (width). I work from home and this is my desk because I can pull it close to my favorite comfy chair. I also got one for my wheel-chaired mom. Gets nice and close and she can lean her elbows on it without it collapsing. Absolutely love it.

Sooooo handy!

11/19/2006 - Joan of Tennessee, USA writes:

I bought my tablemate through a catalog about 6 or 7 years ago. I had first seen it on one of the shopping channels but thought it was a bit too expensive. It is just great for eating meals on while catching a movie. For the last two years it has been the home for my laptop. Finally, these are being offered locally and in some drugstores, too. This is such a handy little table and easily adjustable. Great product!

Brilliant!

2/4/2006 - Huey of Maryland, USA writes:

I bought two Table Mates about ten years ago while living on a 36 foot houseboat. They were incredibly handy and, having lived in a relatively spacious condominium for the last eight years, I find they still are. I`m typing this with my keyboard on one of them, while the moniter is on a seperate table next to it. When not in use, the Table Mate/keyboard slides (erected) under the table top; all the advantages of a laptop! My wife and I use both of them occasionally for vegging out in front of the tube eating in the library instead of the dining room. It`s a great product; very handy and, after a decade, still like new.

a more than satisfied customer

1/7/2006 - Neil of Illinois, USA writes:

i am reclining in bed with my laptop on one as i write this. my printer is sitting on another one. this thing is great. it weighs next to nothing, yet it's very strong. to move and adjust it is practically effortless and you can't knock it over if you bump into it. i love how you can slide it almost as if it had wheels. i like the fact that it has a lip around it and rounded corners and edges. the legs don't wobble and it even looks good. hats off to whoever designed it. so simple yet so usefull and at a modest price. i'd say money well spent.
