Here is the truth that you've been waiting for. Slim in six does work. I suggest doing the two day fasting with their shakes in the beginning and again in the end. The reasoning is b/c most of your weight is water weight. The last stubborn pounds are the hardest to lose b/c its pure fat. I worked out every night right before bed. When I awoke I had lost an inch. I swear. Follow the eating format. Don't eat but every one to two hours. Eat snacks. Fruits or salad. This is great for beginners nice light work outs. Great for women or men. Drink lots of water. You don't need supplements unless you want to. I lost fifteen pounds by my third week. Workout every night except one in the beginning. After you've lost all the weight then you only have to work out every other day to maintain it. Good luck People!

I bought all three tapes and within a month, two of the VHS tapes broke. Debbie Siebers is nauseating. Her horse-like laugh is extremely annoying (especially when you do the side bends, and she asks, Right, Tracy? Right, Greg? HA HA HA HA! and I agree she comes across quite fake. She has to correct Greg's form tons of times, and even her own form on the bent leg lifts/kneeling hamstring exercise is off-her hips are not level, and she brings her legs up too high-which can injure your lower back. Also she recommends doing the weight segment each day, if you're not using the bands, but actual hand weights, you should never use them every day-your muscles need rest! I have used many tapes from different instructors before, and I much prefer [](the grandma of exercise at 60 + she's amazing, plus her form is always FLAWLESS), [], she's non annoying as well. Siebers makes me mute the tape each time (that is if it doesn't start skipping half way through!!)

I really wanted to like this video, but every time I do it, it kills my knees! There are LOTS of lunges, squats, and the like. So if you have joint problems, please be wary!! Also, I didn't really care for Ms. Seibers, herself. She seemed to have fake sincerity and she'd also get huffy with some of her workout partners when they didn't do things exactly right. This is all just subtle stuff, but I sure caught onto it! I think the exercises themselves would probably work alright if you can get through them. As I read in another review, good for toning if you're already fit, but might be too difficult if you're overweight (back to that joint stuff).

I used this system several years ago (shortly after the birth of my daughter) and lost 30 pounds (and really sculpted my body), so I have to say it works. However, it is a huge commitment of time...one hour per day, six days per week. I didn't follow the diet plan that was included in the program. Instead I ate almost whatever I wanted and cut my portions by half. I have to agree that it can be boring, as the routines are relatively low energy and Debbie doesn't do a whole lot to keep you motivated. Although, in my experience, that is true of most at-home workout programs. You really must be self-motivated. If you are willing to make the commitment, it does work.

Following the birth of my second child, I discovered Slim in 6 and it literally changed my body. I was in decent shape prior to my pregnancies (they were VERY close together) but had extra pounds creep up on me! I began Slim in 6 and in those six weeks (while nursing my daughter and NOT starving myself or doing anything extravagant, obsessive or weird) I went from a big size 8 to a small 4. Following the completion of the 6-week program, I began the workout Keep it Up for weeks 7 and beyond and alternated between that and the Burn it Up workout and have maintained my size 4 and my weight for 3.5 years. Add to that another pregnancy and with the help of Slim in 6 (and Keep it Up) I'm back to a size 4 and 130 lbs. (my third child is now 7 months old). I would absolutely recommend Slim in 6 despite some outdated music and some ill-counted reps - have some motivation, show some commitment and stick with it and you will see results.

This will get your heart rate up and get you toned. The unfortunate thing is that Debbie Siebers is not very motivational and she's totally boring. The video is not done very professionally either. I can't do this workout anymore just based on the fact that she doesn't get each side evenly. It's like she's not even counting the reps. AND this seems to be a common trend throughout ALL the exercises in this series (which is completely unacceptable for the amount of money I spent). It's so bad that I found myself having to count the reps myself cause I didn't trust her to do it properly. I've been working out for a very long time (10 years), but I found the workouts to be challenging at first (because the muscles are getting used to a different movements), but I didn't feel like there was much else to go after I mastered the third level. Because this product was so disappointing, and because I have been exercising for so long, I decided to buy P90X. This program is great, and although he may seem like kind of a spaz sometimes, Tony Horton actually has the correct rep count!!! Imagine that!?!?!

I like it okay. It's a bit boring but it does actually work. Hey, if you are just looking for the results without all the fun!!!!!!!!!!!

When will these people who make these workout programs realize that it needs to be very generic. No small talk between the people on the dvd's. I don't want to hear Debbie introducing these people and hearing their lame laughter and jokes over and over and over again. These workouts were not very professionally done, and I quit listening to the audio and played my own music. I did lose weight and felt really good, but am searching for something better than Debbie's workouts.

i really enjoy this work out... I like debbie and the music and I find it to be fun. I never liked working out but the dvd make it easy and fun so I look forward to doing it.

The product is so boring its discuraging. But it does work. You feel like you were in a big fight and lost afterwards. Everything is sore. Her fake smile is scary but you do lose weight if you do the program. The eating program is like all of the others. Its good to just listen to your own music and turn her off.

This product would be good for someone who is within normal BMI range, and is just wanting to tone. For others (like myself) who are significantly overweight and haven't been on a work-out regimen for a while, this product is just one of a million that doesn't work. (PLEASE talk to your doctor before you try workout program! I know it's tempting to order products when you see them on TV, but I don't think it is stressed enough on the commericials the importance of those who haven't worked out for a while to get the OK from a physician!) Even though the program works in "steps," the videos move along a little too fast for someone that is just beginning a serious weight loss program. I would suggest buying it after one is closer to their goal weight, and use it to tone and firm. I think that is where the best results are going to show up. The operator that sold me the videos was very pushy, and wanted to add this, that, or the other. Other than that, the product just wasn't great for me, but I think for others it will be fine.

I am in my early 20's, over 250lbs and very out of shape. I've had the Slim in 6 system for over a year now but never bothered to keep up with it. I would do the Start it Up dvd for 2 or 3 days in a row and my legs would be too sore to even walk (the squats and lunges really kill!) so I would take a break for a day or 2 and then wouldnt get back into it. I am DONE with that now. I have been forcing myself to do this dvd at least every other day for the last 2 weeks and I've been sticking with it, and so far I am very pleased with how I've progessed already. I've already moved onto Ramp it Up and can get through most of the workout without stopping too often. This is major progress for me. I'm also hurting in all the right places. My abs (top and bottom), butt and inner and outer thighs are always sore but I actually don't mind b/c it's a reminder that what I'm doing is actually working. I've already noticed a difference in how my jeans are fitting. My waist has less flab and even my leg cellulite is starting to diminish a little. More importantly I definitely have more energy and have been feeling more motivated than ever to finally get my weight in control. I'm not following the Slim in 6 eating plan, but I am doing weight watchers. The only part of the dvd I have a difficult time with is the situps. It hurts my back way too much to lay on the floor but I just purchased The Bean so I will attempt to do the Slim in 6 ab routine on The Bean and see how that works. The music is boring but I usually have the radio or my ipod cranking so that doesnt matter too much. Debbie is easy to follow and doesnt get irritating to listen to or watch like some other excercise instructors. The workouts are challenging, but not too challenging to get through. Pushing myself past the first few days was the hard part but now I make sure to do this every day. Starting tomorrow I'm going to add more to my workout routine. I plan on using my Urban Rebounder (another neglected, but effective informercial product) a few times a week and high energy yoga every morning. With the way my muscles have been hurting, I can't imagine not seeing great results before I know it. I'll probably update my review in a few weeks.

I really love Debbie Seibers and these workouts. I'm getting back to working out after a long break and I need a regimented program like this to stick to. The videos are tough and I love Debbie. Be aware, thogh, that while this can definitely work, you have to put in a lot of hard work. As others have pointed out the music is off beat to the moves and the cuing is ocassionally late(which is why it doesn't get 5 stars), but I can live with that. After 2 weeks I can see results and feel stronger. I would recomend being very careful of your form or all of the lunges will kill your knees. I'm also modifying by not doing the floor abs section every day. Instead I do it every other day and on the days I do it, I also add a Pilates abs routine, so I'm training my abs heavy one day and doing a recovery day the next. For me this helps me focus more on form and get better results in flattening my abs. I'm not strictly following the diet guidelines or doing supplements. I'm just eating a sensible balanced diet with a normal multi vitamin

I bought Slim in 6 one night after watching an infomercial for the product. It came within a few days as promised. There are 3 workouts varying in length and difficulty. "Start It Up" which trains you in the moves, "Ramp It Up" picks up the pace, and "Burn it up" - the hard one. Plus there are extra stretching and ab routines for days when you don't have time for the full work out. I started seeing results after the first week, feeling much stronger and full of energy. By week 6 I was in even better shape and feeling great. Pros: It's a good solid workout. No cutsie Jane Fonda stuff good for both men and women. Cons: After 3 years I haven't found one yet!! This is great to start up 6 weeks before a vacation. Go for it - you'll be glad that you did!!

I can't do high impact work out. Slim in6 is perfect. I started slow and slowly up to ramp it up then Now I am doing burn it up. I don't exercise everyday since I have no time.I haven't loose any weight but I can see that my arms, stomach are firmer. However I haven't see any result on my thigh. I don't like the music so I use my ipod instead.

Music and video extremely boring. Music sounded more like bad porn music. I was already fit doing Billy Blanks Tae Bo for about a year and thought I'd try Slim in 6 since infomercial looked like fun and effective. Some of the exercises are effective if you can get through the boring music, and set (like very early workout videos, ie: Jane Fonda. You do a lot of leg exercises while on knees and elbows. While working right leg (a very long time) then switching to left leg, right leg is tired and tends to give somewhat. While on knee and elbows,I guess my right leg was tired and possibly allowed my right hip to turn in,now my right hip has been giving me problems for about 7 months. Saw MD, went on medication for it. Doing better but still gives me fits @ times. Will probably see a sports medicine MD next.

Debbie Siebers does not stay on count at all! The fact that there is not rhythm to the entire workout ruined my concentration totally. There is a music on/off option. No rhythm with either option. The product is not worth the advertising price at all. She even has to correct her workout partners on their form. Super Boring too!

How to lose 15 pounds in 8 weeks... 1) Do the Slim in 6 workouts 6 days a week (make sure you stretch everyday) 2) Drink at least 64oz. of water every day (I found that drinking 4-5 the Dasani 16.9oz bottle work best). 3) Drink only 0-1 Dr.Pepper each day 4) Cut of fried and high fat food 5) Eat chicken, lots of veggies, and fruit 6) Eat breakfast, your large meal at lunch, and a small low calorie dinner 7) Walk at least a mile everyday with a friend or your pet :) 8) Keep some ice cream in your freezer and ONLY eat 3 small spoonfulls a day (red grapes work great for your sweet tooth craving) 9) Have a friend to keep you motivated!!! 10) STOP eating at 8:30/9:00pm Good luck!

This workout is not done to any hip-hop, make you want to jump around music, but it works. The moves are controlled and you can feel the burn right away. If you stick with it, you will definitely see changes. The workouts get more and more intense with each dvd. So, if you are not looking for dance music and you don't want a workout where you are constantly jumping, but you do want a very good workout, this is an excellent product to buy.
