Come On!

10/19/2008 - Elizabeth of North Carolina, USA writes:

The blade's about big enough to comb a gerbil. I dug around my cat for about an hour trying to get the blade in her short hair and my arm about fell off. Nothing easy about it. Junk!

Not that bad of a product

7/1/2008 - Stacey of Nevada, USA writes:

I read all of the reviews before I bought my Shed Ender. I have a Seal Lynx Bangle cat, which is suppose to be a low shedding to none shedding cat. Yeah, she sheds like no tomorrow. Anyways, I got the shed ender and was amazed at how much I got. I noticed in just a few days that she is shedding less. I totally refer to any one to try it.

Finally, a product that does what they claim!

11/28/2007 - Nina of Florida, USA writes:

The Shed Ender grooming tool is the best thing I've ever invested in for my cats. I have two American Short-Hairs who shed on ever possible surface they come in contact with. I had hair on EVERYTHING...the books they on my bookshelf they rubbed up on, hair flying around in the air and landing on my dining room table, and of course, on all the cushions and chairs they laze about on. I even have an ionic air filter and a hepa air filter running at all times! I've been using the Shed Ender for about two months straight (two brushings a week each for about 15 minutes) and it's like taking an entire cat's worth of fur that would've ended up all over my furniture and brushing it out. It's fantastic. I highly recommend it to any pet owners with shedding problems! I just sit with a cat in my lap or on the floor, bring the trash can over to us, brush a few strokes, pull the fur off and put it in the trash. Fifteen minutes later, my cats have had a good scratch/pet, their coats look shinier, and I don't have to worry about fur. It's affordable, it's easy, it promotes a little extra cuddle time with your pet, and it keeps your house and air fur free. Highly, highly recommended.

The Infomerical isnt lying!

10/4/2007 - Hol of California, USA writes:

Like I said above, the infomerical isnt lying about this product working, but the truth is, it is pretty much a fine razor that pulls the undercoat hair up by scraping it up and cutting additional hair to make it seem like more. True it made my house and cat and cats bed less hairy, but it needs to be done at least once a week to keep the results. Oh and when you do brush your animal, since it is a razor and no amount of combing would result in no hair coming off your pet, it takes forever to actually stop brushing. Since there is no end to brushing you kindof have to wonder...am I taking away needed hair that is not supposed to be removed? All in all, it takes a long time, it does take off the hair it claims to, the blades need to be replaced eventually, and you must do it often cause your pets hair will want to shed within the weeks time. I would buy it again if my cat liked it, but honestly he hates it because I do it for so long and he hates that it feels a little rough, but it does work...in retrospect.

Amazing Brush

9/19/2007 - Sheena of Ohio, USA writes:

We have a white siamese kitty. She has almost rabbit like soft hair, medium length. This comb took off a sandwhich bag full of hair. Sometimes she growls at the comb and tries to get away. Sometimes she just goes to sleep while I comb her. This brush is heaven for me. But I do give her a bath after I comb her down once a week. Significantly small amount of hair on my clothes when I hold her now.

Add to regular combing

8/10/2007 - Jamie of Ohio, USA writes:

We have 3 cats...all with different fur. The long-haired one hates all grooming including this. But, to eliminate furballs and keep him mat free, he must be groomed. The semi-long hair cat wouldn't let me touch her with anything prior to the shed-ender. Now she loves being combed with both the shed-ender and a regular comb. The short hair cat was the most impressive. You could comb her for hours and get nothing. She would go on the sofa and there would still be fur there. I used the shed-ender on her and pulled off quite a bit of dead hair and there is much less on the sofa. All up, this is a good product, but for the long hair cat and semi-long hair cat, it works best with when you use a regular comb too.

not so good

7/25/2007 - Nancy of Nevada, USA writes:

I bought this product at my local [] because i have three cats. two of them are scared to death of the thing and wont let me near them and the one who does like it keeps on shedding. I spent three days brushing her and no stop to the fur, so i went out to the store and bought a fine comb set and what do you know no more fur. a two dollar product worked much better then a 12 dollar one. further more all three cats will let me brush them with the plastic joe.

Worthless

7/7/2007 - Chris of Oklahoma, USA writes:

I bought the Shed Ender at a local [], for my medium sized, short haired dog, I was quite disappointed in it. I find that the "fine" end of an everyday Ace Comb works much much better.

Highly Recommended

6/23/2007 - Christina of Georgia, USA writes:

After brushing my Pug with a regular bristle brush and finding more hair on the couch 10 minutes later I was desperate to try anything. I actually found mine at [] and for $15 it was worth a try. Rosie sat patiently while I brushed her. I went back a couple more times and touched up some areas. It does take awhile to remove the hair but it beats lugging out the vacuum cleaner and hose attachments every day. I almost put her on a diet b/c I thought she was getting fat but now I realize it was all of the undercoat. She looks her weight now and not 5 lbs. over. A larger head and replacement heads can be purchased with the order form included.

Returned for Refund

4/12/2007 - Bev of South Carolina, USA writes:

My 50 lb dog has a thick undercoat so I thought this product would solve all the shedding. Very disappointed - it didn't get to the undercoat and only removed loose top hair. Would recommend an undercoat rake, available in pet stores and on line. The [] undercoat rake works wonders - my dog looks thinner after getting the undercoat thinned out.

I went back for a 2nd one

4/12/2007 - Angela of New York, USA writes:

I was skeptical when I saw the informercial but then when on 40th St. & 5th Ave. in NYC for $9 (little store across from []), I thought what the hell. I have three cats and the two maine coon mix runs away from every brush I brought from the pet shops. It removed so much fur I could knit a sweater! Right away I noticed there's not as much fur left behind on our microsuede couch, not as much fur balls. And the finicky one of the two would tolerate being brushed by the ShedEnder. So I went back and got a second one for the left hand so I can brush them two hands at a time to get it over it w/ faster. The only drawback is how short the brush part is - that's why I got a second one, it takes a while to brush a 15lb. cat!

Works good on small dogs

3/14/2007 - Laura of Arizona, USA writes:

This is a pretty good product, but only for small animals. It is pretty useless on large dogs. I use it on my small chi that has a thick coat. He hates it and runs when he sees me pull it out of his drawer. I usually have to catch him first and then reach for the comb. Even though he hates it...i think it works pretty good. It is worth the price especially compared to the $40-$50 name brand product also advertised on tv. Also this doesnt work very well on my short hair chi. i think it only works well on thick hair or longer hair small dogs only.

It works

2/24/2007 - Tracy of Missouri, USA writes:

This comb is very effective at removing pet hair. I have to be gentle with my cat because it tends to pull. I was surprised at the quantity of hair it removed from him. I also have two dogs. I've used it on both of them with great success. That being said, I wish I didn't have to remove hair after almost every stroke. It is time-consuming. If you can get your pet's hair brushed EVERY day by regular means, this would be an excellent maintenance comb.

overall ok

It works, but my cat hates it. He will not even go near it and everytime I try to brush him with it, he runs away so I can never get the full use of the brush.

Amazing

10/13/2006 - Gail of California, USA writes:

I am totally amazed at the amount of under fur this comb grabs. It is necessary to clean comb after each brush, but better in the hand than all over the house. My cat is long haired and very soft, it is a challenge to keep her sill while combing but it is worth it! It would be nice if the comb was twice the size, i think the job would go faster.

Takes Time but Worth It

9/29/2006 - Rebecca of Illinois, USA writes:

I agree with those that say this product requires you to empty it frequently, and if you're not careful you can pull your pet's hair, but I have succesfully used this on both of my mom's shorthaired cats, as well as both of my own and my rabbit (who sheds CONSTANTLY), and it is really great at removing all that lose under-coat. It has helped my one cat who is prone to hairballs, helped their "kitty dandruff" problem by removing that dead skin and hair, and makes me feel like I'm helping my rabbit reduce his risk of an impaction (rabbits cannot vomit hairballs, which can become obstructions in their intestines if they eat too much hair). None of the animals are THRILLED with getting brushed, but with patience we get it done!

Both cat and dog Hate it!

9/23/2006 - Dani of Nevada, USA writes:

I bought this product because we have both a long haired cat and a golden retriever. They both hate the thing and won't let me near them long enough to use it. When I did manage to use it a little, it didn't do much good. Besides, it's much too small to be of any use on a large animal.
