Product Description
The Shark Cordless Sweeper combines all the features of a sweeper and a powerful vacuum cleaner in one light, compact sweeper. A time-tested design, updated with a rechargeable battery, the Shark Cordless Sweeper lets you clean both carpets and floors without the bulk and upkeep of a full-size vacuum. And it can also be converted into a handheld unit for stairs and automobiles. Built with a patented, motorized "Brush Roll", the cleaner sweeps up small and large debris into its generous dirt chamber. And it's so powerful it picks up anything from screws, nuts and dirt to pet hair and confetti. The patented "Wall Hugging" technology ensures that dirt in corners is rolled away to the front of the machine to be easily swept up. The swivel head makes the sweeper easy to maneuver, while its low profile design allows it to clean under furniture. Plus, the sweeper emits no exhaust or airborne particles, making it a handy tool for dust-sensitive users. The Shark Cordless Sweeper is battery powered, providing up to 35 minutes of continuous sweeping on one charge.

piece of junk

8/25/2008 - tina of pa, usa writes:

Lousy product. For $159 buy a good product. Don't fall for the information on tv. Won't go under most things & was told $5 for extra battery and it was $23.80. with postage $158.45. I could kick myself for not checking to see what others had to say.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY

8/17/2008 - Carol of California, US writes:

It wouldn't even pick up uncooked grains of rice on a wood floor. Tried to take advantage of their return policy and got a significant amount of run around from their customer service. After having to say I don't want it; I just want to return it about 3 dozen times (no exaggeration), they finally get me 4 different numbers and various directions on how to return it. Returned it and 6 months later have NEVER gotten my money back. This is a TOTAL ripoff!

Cordless Shark Does not Vacuum

8/17/2008 - Linda of CA, USA writes:

Linda from Pasadena, CA. I got really excited seeing how the shark vacuumed everything from bolt metals and spaghetti on the floor. After receiving it I couldn't wait to use. I can barely pick up the dust bunnies that were hanging around the corners. In fact, I thought something was wrong with the system since it was just pushing the dirt around. I called customer service and told them if they can send me a new one because I think this one is defective. They said I would have to return the product in order for them to send me a new one. I paid $90 for two sharks plus $45 for shipping. Of course, they wont refund you the $45 So all I got back was approx. $50 $25 to return it back to them. This practice has to be illegal because I basically paid for the product. Anyone thinking of buying anything on tv please note that this type of practice happens alot. They sell you crappy products and know this. They know that people are going to return their product that is why they over inflate the shipping so that they can make their money back. Don't be fooled by their gimmicks. Informercial is a huge and profitable company because they prey on the ignorant!

Suprised

7/21/2008 - Robbie of Oklahoma, USA writes:

I am amazed at the number of bad reviews this product has received. I have had my shark for almost two years never had one problem with it. I absolutely love my shark and will not part with it. I have recommended it to several friends. My Mom borrowed mine and now she absolutely has to have one.

Horrible

7/2/2008 - B Clemens of California, U.S. writes:

This unit looked impressive on the infomercial, particularly it's ability to pick up dirt. Let me tell you - this thing makes an even bigger mess than it cleans because it just pushes the dirt around. Additionally, the risk-free guarantee will cost you the $34 to ship the thing to you PLUS shipping back. So much for risk-free. I was told by the returns department that this was clearly disclosed in small type at the bottom of the tv screen. Having been aware that this might be the case before I bought it, I tried to identify any way the company could weasel out of the risk-free guarantee so I was looking for any of these disclaimers. I did not see any so I believe they are lying. Again do not even bother to try this crappy product.

Run Away

7/1/2008 - hugh of ky, usa writes:

Used this sparingly for 6 months and it just quit. Total of maybe 8 hours. Medium to bad in performance. Called got the do this, try that and when all failed I was told to return it along with $8 and to expect it back in 6 to 8 weeks.. The shipping to get it there was nearly $20. So clearly not worth it. Run away quickly.

What a piece of junk!

6/24/2008 - Donna of Texas, USA writes:

My sweeper lasted a total of 2 months before the belt broke. Surprise! You can't buy the belts anywhere. Well, it never worked all that great anyway. So, I fed it to the trash can. Anyone looking for a cordless sweeper? Don't buy a shark, unless you want to replace it every 60 days.

I use this all the time.

6/24/2008 - Megan of NC, USA writes:

I first used this about 6 months ago when I was babysitting for a friend's three children (who are typical messy kids). I used this to clean up everything from [] to crumbs. Their mom raved about using the shark on her hardwood floors so I went and bought one too, although not from the infomercial. I have been using mine for the past 3 months or so and I LOVE IT! It is perfect for picking up the kitty litter that gets kicked out of the pan and I also use it in the kitchen. It picks up dry pet food, dust, crumbs etc. I only use this on berber carpet and hardwoods so I have no complaints with it functioning. The charge lasts through many kitchen sweepings and I'm sure I will buy another one of these when it dies. It did take me awhile to figure out how to empty the darn thing.

JUNK -- Need a ZERO rating

6/21/2008 - Christina of NY, USA writes:

Unfortunately the unit has never worked well since day one. I'm not sure if it's "sensitivity" with hair getting around the roller as I've seen some post or the battery. It simply dies on the carpet. We have pets, and it's always messy. That's why I bought the product! It has not met my needs at all. Even after fully charging the battery, it lasts about 2 minutes on my carpet before it starts blinking that it needs to be charged. Bought a new battery pack (from someone whom I complained loudly to -- as this was the third battery pack) and he asked me if I wanted a deal to be another! Not a good listener...anway, this is battery number three. After this, the machine goes in a yard sale, or the garbage, depending on my mood...

so so

6/5/2008 - Diane of south carolina, usa writes:

I have used this product for a few months. It's so so. Not worth the $56.00 tag. The handle is weak and it sticks alot. Doesn't pick up very well. I will use it now in my RV.

ZERO STARS!!!

5/19/2008 - Kevin of IL, United States writes:

Absolutely THE worst product I've ever purchased! Picked up almost nothing on hardwood/tile and was useless on carpet. Cheap material. What's more, it was a hassle to return; the rep tried every trick in the book to get me to keep it, including lying by saying there was no money-back guarantee! Ended up buying—and being remarkably surprised by—the Swivel Sweeper.

Hunk Of Junk

4/25/2008 - Wendy of Arizona, USA writes:

I thoroughly ran it over my kitchen floor, then afterward, a regular old broom swept up a huge pile. I boxed it back up and sent it back immediately. Yes, the cup picked up its share but it was not touch-free as they claim. Definitely wouldn't recommend this hunk of junk.

Quoted one Price charged a Different Price

4/4/2008 - Michael of Georgia, USA writes:

Their TV commercial states one price and they charge a different price and when I called customer service assured me that I heard it wrong. I did not hear it wrong the 10 to 20 times that it was stated in the commercial. If you call be prepared to be bombarded by attempts to get you to order additional products and accessories. I will not do business with this company again.

LOVE IT

3/2/2008 - Netta of Maryland, USA writes:

I loved this product. I have had mine for over a year. Just have to make sure you clean your rollers out. Bought one for my daughter for her college dorm as well. I recommend it. My 10 year old loves it as well. I would recommend this to anyone who hates to "sweep".

It really works

1/12/2008 - Mishka of Arizona, USA writes:

I have used one of these at my job for at least a year. We have low pile retail type carpet but lots of it and its never let me down. Of course it doesn't have suction, so it isn't meant to replace a vaccum. I bought one for home and it has a little difficulty on regular carpet, but does great on tile. I'm happy with it.

Short Lived

12/2/2007 - dem of Virginia, USA writes:

Been using this for only a couple of months..just about everytime I use it it has one problem or another. It's very sensitive. Now the roller stopped working. I always cleaned the brush after use. There is NOTHING stuck in it. It does a great job..WHEN IT WORKS. Which is 1 out of 4 times.

Broke on the 2nd use

10/12/2007 - Kimberly of Utah, USA writes:

this product is really cheap. It is made from very cheap materials. It broke on the 2nd use for us. It did ok at suctioning, but with it breaking so quickly, we don't have a long term review. We never bothered trying to see if they would replace or fix it.

I bought a second shark

3/18/2007 - Jay of New Jersey, USA writes:

After three years, I upgraded to newer unit. For a quick or daily cleanup, it does an excellent job on hardwood or tile. I still use a vacuum once in a while, but my first choice is the shark. Battery recharge capacity eventually is shortened to where you replace the battery pack.
