I was sceptical since I don't always trust infomercials and I didn't want to spend over $100 for something that might not work. But even at that it costs less than a lot of exercise stuff so I was considering it. The ease of use attracted me as I have trouble staying with an exercise program. When I visited a friend and she had one I asked her and she had lost several pounds. She had not ordered hers through the infomercial site, so I looked on line and found mine through a catalog company. My results were slower than hers and I probably would not have stayed with it if I had not talked to her first. But I did finally lose pounds and inches and it is very easy to do so I am not giving up on it. I don't follow the DVD, which may be one reason my results were slower. I do need to keep making sure the connectors are tight as they shake loose.
Rip off!

This product is a rip off! Its way over priced and does not work. This is the King of all False Advertisments. I warn anyone who has not bought it to forget about it. Any rating better then one star on this board is fake! Because anyone who actually tried it would know it was the most expensive junk they have ever bought! makes a great stool if your short a chair for guests!

I was looking to buy some ab equipment that got me off the floor and in a position where there was little or no pain and where I could workout and either watch tv or something else to pass the time to make it less of a workout. So for my surprise I saw Red. I thought to myself, hey this would be reat. Get the result I want while watching tv. I was so wrong. It does seem to work the upper thighs and hips but as for the abdomen, very little. I got better results from crunches and the ab lounge that I used for 2 weeks while visiting a friend anf they are many dollars cheaper. The customer service was very unprofessional and really pressed to sell more with numerous call backs. I had to send it back just after 10 days. I may have lost 1/2-1 inch but that also could have been from the stress of the return policy and the cost they were trying to charge me. Never get this product. Better to get ablounge or do traditional crunches and leg raises.

I used this in a [] and I saw the infomercial on tv even watched the whole thing. Using this in the store was nothing because to me it can be used just as a chair or a coat rack. I felt nothing from this and I was breathing also held in my stomach as you do with any exercise. This needs to be off of the market.

Yes, I purchased the Red XL ...sounded good. Very disappointed. I worked out with the video and nothing...not at all what I thought. Such a waste of money... Taking it back to Academy today and get my money back. checked out the reviews on Ab lounger... willing to give it a try.Sure wished I had checked this out before I purchased it.

I have never thrown away a piece of exercise equpment, but there is always a first time! I put this on the back of the truck and had my husband haul it to the dump! It doesn't work, is difficult to use, is uncomfortale, and just basically is a hunk of junk! And the dvd that comes with it is no fun at all. I always enjoy purchasing and using fitness items. I could not wait to see this one go. I could not in good conscience sell it or even give it away.

Can we say Chiggity China?! Out of the box I could tell that this product is made to order. The alignment holes did not align for the cotter pins, in fact mine was put together in such a hurry that one alignment hole was missing. So I don't can't use the clips. I got the DX and the seat is cushy but after laying it down on the floor one time (for storage) 4 of the 12 or so large ball bearings(in plastic trays under seat) fell out of place and I had to take apart and reposition just so the seat would slide again. I really believe the reason it takes 6-8 weeks for delivery is because they wait to see how many suckers order the product, then they call China or Taiwan with the "rush" order for 50 and send them your way without any quality control. The tension is also a joke, cheap webbing and a spring to create varying friction on plastic. I do have to say the product has created some results for me, but I would only pay 40.00 AT MOST for a product so clumsily, greedily, deceptively put together. Oh yeah..one more thing, THEY WILL CALL YOU over and over again if you ever DO call them. Watch out, and hope that yours comes with a DVD..mine didn't.

well me and my fiance purchased the system because we saw RED on tv so we called 1x. Next thing i know RED called us about 20X's from different #'s private, unavailable, you name it. We had a very sweet talking rep who assured us that it will work hassle free and if we wasnt satisfied we had 90 days .... so she said. After a month it broke didnt work and we called and complained they said they will send us another one so dont pay 1st payment til i recieved new one and then send the old one back... why did i trust that of course never recieved new one and 2 weeks later i get a suprise draft in my checking acct from you guessed it fraud RED themselves complained about it and they told me basically oh well i was giving wrong info and they hung up on me... great customer service right.. yeah right. Well 2 weeks later another suprise payment comes out now mind you the RED doesnt work and screws came out so i cant use it and they knew this still didnt recieve the one i was promised so another overdraft hit my acct because the date they took out the money wasnt the correct date. So it hit the fans now im -142.00 in my bank acct so i call 888-424-7623 and i have never been talked to that way in my life by a suppose to be customer service agent.. he said again oh well they can do what they want i told him do not go back in my acct that way because it is not the authorized sate i signed up for he said he will go in it now if he likes and take the remaining i said well im not due until jan he said dont matter if you cant pay balance now im going to take it i said no you wont because theres nothing there you wiped me out i demanded a sup she was just as rude as he was and told me she will take it out since i told her my acct has no money in it and that i cant pay with that card i told her i will mail in the money order for the amount she said that will be fine but im going to charge your card anyway because i believe its money there i told her it wasnt she said she could do it because 3 payment of the 33 dollars was a courtesy she can take the whole payment if she likes i got very upset again and told her im not due yet she begin yelling and hung up. I called back and spoke with another rep and she said RED can do what they want and this time i recorded her statement i plan to file a legal suit against RED for misrepresenting a product , unauthorized use, and fraud. Red really works if you work it. The set up is truly easy--5 or 10 minutes. The workout is straightforward and thorough. I got Red a couple of weeks ago and have used it several times. I've had my biggest successes working out with the Basic video. I've watched the others but am choosing to get stronger in my core before I use them. After today's workout (with the video in front of a mirror) seeing my ab muscles developing, I am committed to using it much more often. Give it a go. It's much better than some other products I've used.

A person could sit on any stool or office chair and receive the same workout. The tension setting is a joke. I tighten it several times and could not tell any difference. When returning the product the company charges you the shipping and handling $25.00 plus $14.95 for trying their product. Does not help the waist. Real big waste.
Bad for the alignment

After a week of using this exerciser, I was in the worst shape. My hip was dislocated, my bones were cracking and I was a mess. I sent it back. With the money that I spent for the red exerciser, I spent it on the chiropractor.

Totally worth every penny. It works on so many areas it is unreal. Started using it immediately and felt the results, IMMEDIATELY. The next morn I was pretty sore, but hey, that means that it works, RIGHT? I thought it was pricey at first, but now I believe in it 110%. Id suggest it to ANYONE having trouble with their mid section!

I purchased the Red on yesterday. I set it up and only spent about 5 minutes using it. Today I feel soreness in my arms and upper body just above my waist. I can't wait to see the results I'll have when I use it daily. This is a real review.

There's no easy way to work out your abs. This machine does NOT work. All it does is take up space and it's a waste of money. If you need a stool or something to put your food on while watching TV, then it might be beneficial to you but it's not worth the money. You're better off sitting around doing nothing because you'll get the results from using this machine. Save your money and do traditional crunches.....they're free.

The RED was resonally priced and has really helped me get my waist back to where it should be. I recently had surgery and my tummy and waist grew way out of control. I ordered the RED and it was shipped out promptly to me and it was so easy to put together. I sit in front on the TV and exercise while I'm watching TIVOed programs and the workout flies by. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get their waist into shape.

I just recently bought this product and I like it a lot. I took my measurements 1 week prior to beginning use. I only used red 3 times in one week, following the video. I have lost 1/2 inch in my waist and lower back (love handle) region. Imagine if I actually followed the diet provided and used this product the way they advise you too. I would have lost a full inch. I am very pleased with this product. You may not "feel" the workout while you are exercising but the next day when you use your machine again you will notice some soreness and tiredness in your muscles.

ok well i was very dissapointed after using this product... it does not even work your abdominal muscles at all...the only place i felt a "burn" was in my thighs.so if you want a machine that works your thighs than this would be perfect for you... otherwise don't waste your money!! i wish i had taken the advice of other reviews i had read.
