Not good, not able to chop tomatoes as it promised on TV. Made a mess and my tomatoes are squashed. I have to slice it before putting it under the cutter, I might as well just continue cutting it with my knife and save me money buying rubbish.

I bought into it also. First time I used the medium blade cutting three baby carrots the blades bent. Got them bent back but they complete deconstructed on the 3rd time used. Second one did the same. It would be great if the quality was there. Loved it the few times it worked. Too Bad.

I totally loved this when I bought it. It seemed to work well and did exactly what I wanted...for about 1 month. After that the blades on both cutters bent and fell out of the machine, just while I was cutting up a small piece of onion. I thought that I would contact the company since it is supposed to have a 5 year guarantee, but unfortunately, the company has not gotten back to me after many attempts. It's a shame because it would have been such a wonderful product if it had worked and if the company had gotten back to me. Unfortunately, I have to recommend to everyone to save their money

i was so pleased with the nicer dicer that i don't know how i'm going to live without it now, i used it a LOT! as others have said, the quality of the materials used is so awful - they're obviously producing it as cheaply as possible - that after having 2 pack up on me so quickly i do not intend to replace it for a 3rd time in six months. the nicer dicer should have revolutionised the kitchen; what a shame the company got greedy and went for cheap production. it's going to be forgotten about very soon (except for those who bought it!). even with word of mouth, had the blades not been flimsy and actually stood up to the test of time, i guarantee that there would have been one of these in just about every home. oh well... back to the knife!

This is the first time in my life that I buy a product and put it on the trash the same day, I just keep the plastic containers, the other part I try to cut onions and all the metal parts broke the first time. Believe me you are going to lost your money, I was so mad that I put it on the trash immediately, I payed about $25. THE WORST PRODUCT EVER, do not try it or you will regret it.

I reaed reviews AFTER I ordered, and wished I hadn't sent for it. I LOVE it! I have a busy kitchen, and have used it every day since I got it. I bought another one for my mother who avoids choppind due to severe arthritis. She loves it too. I don't know why there were so many bad reviews. Probably from folks who have little experience with food preparation, or who don't use as directed. Great design and works perfectly!

This was a very disappointing product. The blades bent the FIRST time I used it, whilst trying to dice half an onion. The design is fairly sound, but because it's been made with such cheap materials it simply isn't tough enough to do the job. What a shame that the company that produces this is more concerned with building a business by ripping people off with the initial promise of a great product through clever marketing strategies. Don't buy it - it's made of cheap flimsy plastic and blades and the packaging screams 1970's!

I bought this unit from [] when it first came out, must have been better back then. Up to this point the biggest problem is with the softer veggies i.e. tomatoes, bell peppers and the such. Thought about partially freezing them before dicing but haven't got around to trying it yet.

9/2/2007 - Jay of Utah, USA writes:
Other than ordering problems, the products blades broke off. Some of the dicer blades came off on the garlic dicer and both the large and small vegetable dicer. I don't know how the product stayed in tact during the restaurant demos. I have emailled them and called. No response. I have not been persistant, however, I would recommend not to buy this product. I consider my $84. down the drain.

This is a great product I use it all the time! You have to use hard roma tomatoes and the inside of the onion. You need to prep you food first but the outcome and ease is wonderful. Great money saver you don't need to buy pre diced onions and great for salad making. My family loves it!

The product dices brilliantly and worked well for the first two weeks. I make big salads, Indian, Chinese and Italian food, so I used it heavily. It was a bit hard to clean, but did such a nice job of chopping that I was willing to put up with it. Unfortunately, the construction is junk. The blades, both coarse and fine, started to bend in two weeks. The hinge, a flimsy plastic peice, broke off, making it impossible to use. I persisted, holding down the hinge part with my hand, because it still did nice cuts. Pretty soon, the blades resembled Alfred E. Newman's teeth, so I threw it awy. It COULDA been brilliant, but it was obviously rushed out the door with insufficent testing of the design and materials. Thre is no point buying this thing. It will work well for a short while, but break down fast. It's the design thang. Pity.

I don't know why the nicer dicer gets such bad reviews. I love to cook but have a tremor in my right hand which prevents me from dicing. This item has made my life great. With tomatos in season now I use this thing almost every day. It stays sharp, comes very clean in the dishwasher and the few times I needed replacements the company more than satisfied. I love the nicer dicer.

This product was difficult to use, messy and almost impossible to clean. Very expensive and the shipping and return shipping over the top!

8/12/2007 - Linda of England, UK writes:
Used this product twice. The second time I used the larger dicer the blades bent - I was chopping an onion, I followed the user instructions exactly. I've only used the smaller dicer once, hopefully it will last. Very disappointed in the product would recommend not buying.

The first time I used the Nicer Dicer, one of the blades bent making it impossible to continue use because it would not fit into the matching slots. I was chopping celery which I had removed the strings so I feel that the blades are not strong enough to do all that is advertised. If it won't chop celery, how on earth would it be able to chop sweet potatoes??

7/24/2007 - Angela of Florida, USA writes:
This is great for cutting potatoes. However, I use onions in several meals a week, and after only a few uses, one of the blades started coming loose, bending, and cutting into the plastic cutting board below. I was no longer able to effectively use my Nicer Dicer. However, the booklet says it has a 5 year warrantee. So I sent it back to the company. WARNING - if you do not buy the Nicer Dicer directly from the Nicer Dicer company, they will NOT honor the warrantee. The quality of the product does not match the price! Buyer Beware!

I don't understand all of the negative reviews of the Nicer Dicer. I mostly use the smaller attachment and it makes quick work of onions, celery, peppers...etc. When I first got it, I was slicing the onions so they would fit. This made it hard to dice them. On a whim, I just cut the onion into chunks and tried dicing them. Voila! It made short work of the chunks. It almost makes the whole process fun. I cannot believe how easy this product is to use and how well it performs. I highly recommend it and as I said before, I can't believe all of those negative reviews. Maybe the authors weren't using the Nicer Dicer correctly. At any rate, it's a keeper in my household!

I originally bought this product almost two years ago and it was excellent, I even took it on holiday with me to rented villas. One day I used it to chop swede which is very hard and the blade buckled. As I thought it was my fault for using it on something very hard I didn't bother to return it, I had it for over a year by that time. Then I bought one on the internet for about half the price of the original, used it twice to chop just an onion and the blade buckled. I sent it back and was given another one. This has happened several times, I think I am on the 5th blade now - and still the same happens just the first time I use it. Looking at the reviews they have gone from 5 star to 1 star over a period of time, so I think the only answer is that the whole thing has been cheapened - perhaps being made in China or somewhere similar. It is such a shame, it was a great product in the first instance.

7/3/2007 - Cath of England, UK writes:
i got this as a present for fathers day for an 84 year old to help with cutting and one for myself the second time i used it to cut up swede it broke what a load of rubbish the 84 year old could not even cut up an onion. i was very upset the way this product is still alllowed to be advertised dont waste good money on it

This product broke the first time I used it, the small grid was useless and wouldnt even chop herbs. It was impossible to close it to chop as the item bent over the product to be diced. The large grid mashed tomatoes and herbs, then one of the blades came off altogether. I did notice on the box that it was made in Chine and I thought the infomercial says made in Europe. So perhaps the market is flooded with cheap fakes.
