I did it again. I fell for another informercial. I caught this thing on sale for $7.99. That was half the going price on tv so I said why not.The first thing I tried to cut was a peice of pvc pipe. I had to turn the blade a litte sidways to get it started, then about 5 minutes later I sawed throught the 1/2 inch pipe.Don't waste your money. You'll find them soon at the dollar tree.

Ok first off...i should have been smarter when I saw the informercial where it cut through steel and brick but doesn't cut through human flesh!! This thing first got the test of sawing off a doll head. I cut and cut and about 10 minutes later the head came off. Next I took it over to the medical examiners office and tried to saw through a skull, dulled instantly!! Finally I snuck up and tried to cut the leg off a wheelchair for about 20 minutes until the guy noticed and said "Hey! What are you doing down there?" He really could walk and came after my ass! Piece a shit saw!!!!!!!

One claim made by the TV ad is true! It won't cut your fingers. However it doesn't cut anything else either. I had the the idiocy to buy two. I have never been so ripped off in my life! Is there any way to stop this pack of lies and ban the ad from TV?

This product does not even cut the plastic packaging in which it was sold. Absolutely a sham. If the ratings had negative stars, this would be at the top of the list.

Another infomercial rip-off. It will cut anything they say, but there isn't enough time in a day to do so. Go to your local home improvement outlet and buy the proper tool for the job you're trying to do. It will cost you less in both time and money.

Looks good on TV. Came along with collapsable wrench and a seperate shipping charge for each (same package). It doesn't cut anything plus the blade is so flimsy it bends. Buy a cheap hacksaw and it will outperform this piece of trash 100%.

well once i saw this commercial, i thought wow thats cool then i saw it again and noticed the things they were cutting were already cut by something else first. watch the commercial and look at the railroad tie, the brick, the wood, looks like they use something else first

You get what you pay for & THANK GOD this was a gift from someone who thought it'd be a nice addition to my toolbox. What it was, was destined for the trash within minutes of trying it. I have Ginsu knives that cut anything. The MXZ cut nothing but air... & really, it just displaced it. It is flimsy, easily bent, fails to achieve even the lowest of expectations. Do NOT purchase this product unless you truly have money to burn & want to line the pockets of some scam artist who is trying to pass off this piece of garbage as a wonder blade. Gin-5 is highly touted. This was a "carbide" blade. I've never seen "carbide" touted as never needs sharpening. The truth is, is it doesn't need sharpening because the teeth disappear & you CAN'T sharpen it! Waste not. Want not. Apply those words to the MXZ and never let it disgrace your toolbox or workbench.

I purchased and when it arrived I was excited about this new addition to my tool set. First, I cut through a cinder block. It took a while, but in about 15 minutes I had sawed about a full inch into it. I thought, "Great!" Then I tried to use it on something as simple as wood. I may as well have been trying to saw through a 2x4 with a piece of ice. I'm 2 strokes the cutting edge became as smooth as a baby's butt. I can still saw into a brick, though. It only takes twice as long, now. Save your money. Get a real saw. I gave this product one star.

I bought this saw thinking it would be nice to have a saw I could stick in my pocket for doing odd jobs around the house and yard. When I got it I tried to saw the top off a plastic jug I wanted to recycle. I sawed and sawed and SAWED and I barely put a dent in the jug. I got out my trusty hacksaw and cut the top off in about 15 seconds. This saw is junk.

I really had high hopes for this saw after seeing it on TV, but I'm sorry to say that it's just a piece of junk. Its little saw "teeth" get clogged up right away when you try to cut through wood or cardboard, and then it doesn't have any bite, and doesn't cut well. It CAN cut metal, but not very well. Finally, if you put a little pressure on the saw blade, it will bend backwards, and then it's basically broken. That's how mine is now, so I'm taking it back. If you want a good tool for cutting many different things, get a rotary tool from Black & Decker or Dremel. If you need/want a cutting tool that works without electricity, just decide what you want, a wood or metal saw or whatever, and then get a good one at a store. There are other folding saws too.
