mascara is great!

7/22/2008 - Carolan of Florida, USA writes:

I tried it and sent it back. The disc system took too much effort to learn; the results were no better than my old makeup routine. HOWEVER, the mascara (and tinted moisturizer)that came with it was FANTASTIC. Even though it is a bit pricey compared to the [] mascara I usually use, I've purchased it again several times. The tinted moisturizer is also a wonderful product if it is used more like a foundation than a moisturizer (spot application rather than full face).

I love the face disc

6/29/2008 - LeighAnn of Texas, USA writes:

I ordered this fully expecting to send it back. I was very wrong as I ended up loving it. The concealer is wonderful, but you have to have the right color...the people who claim the concealer is too yellow do not have the right color (they need the pink or fair color) The disc does take longer to apply with the makeup, but it took around 10 years off my age (I am 40, and someone asked if I was 30!) It was only a little longer though...maybe 8-10 min. If you are not using all the products in the disc, you will not get the right result. If you have the wrong color, again, it will be impossible to blend and make look good. I love the brushes and they are great quality..they have not splintered or dropped hair, as other expensive professional brushes i have purchased. I frankly cannot say a high enough recommendation for this. The only thing I would suggest is to send the product back if it is too yellow, get the fair..it is more neutral with pink undertones. The [] deal is great as it includes the brushes with the face disc for around 60 dollars. The [] website sells the same kit for 90.

Really like this

12/20/2007 - Susan of British Columbia, Canada writes:

Lauren Hutton's makeup palette is fantastic. I look like myself but only better. Theres no glimmer, shimmer or shine. Neutral is the way to go. I could do without the 3 small concealers since the big yellow one has no fillers so its non detectable. You have to blend well to make it look good.

I like it alot.

11/14/2007 - Lee of Alabama, USA writes:

I am 34 & use this. I got one for my mom & when I tried hers, I wound up getting one for myself. The disc is handy & easily transported. The blemish/spot concealers are great as they really cover & are easy to mix & blend when applying. The main concealer is a bit dry & yellow, but when mixed w/ the others is ok. I LOVE the blush when mixed w/ the highlighter. They are side by side, so I just run my brush over both to mix. I find mixing the 2 colors gives me a deeper colored blush more suitable to my skin tone. That's the trick with this disc, the ability to mix things for your own personal shade. The only thing I'd do to improve, is ditch the big yellow concealer & make the spot concealers bigger. Overall, I'm pleased w/ this product & it has lasted me a long time. A little goes a long way.

ADORE IT!

11/10/2007 - P. of Missouri, USA writes:

Lauren Hutton's Face Disk delivers beautiful results for me, rendering my appearance younger and prettier. And, it does so consistently, without a luck factor; no more "good" make up days or "bad" ones. In ten minutes I look great and feel confident. The price is fantastic for what you get. The contour powder, eye liner and pooch shadow are especially brilliant, giving a wonderful (yet natural) sculpted look. The compliments I get bear this out! I will never be without it.

Just concealer doesn't work. Clown face results.

7/20/2007 - Anonymous of Georgia, USA writes:

Lauren Hutton advises just to use the spot concealers on blemishes and the other concealer on shadows and smile lines, but not to use an overall foundation to even things out. The big concealer is too yellow for me and looked like painted lines. The eyebrow powder is so light you can't see it at all. The shadow stuff for a saggy chin line can give a dirty face look. The "pooch" shadow was okay. I still use the brown eyeliner and I really love the blush color. However, I went right back to minerals foundation. Oh, the brushes are fine. I use them for other products now. This is not worth the $90 it costs though.

Face Disk really is Good Stuff

5/28/2007 - Karen of Ohio, USA writes:

The Face Disk works for me! Lauren provides application tips, great tools and make up that doesn't make my Face look like a neon sign saying... Old person trying to hard. It enhances one's natural beauty without looking over done. I do use other products, but notice every time I use the Face Disk someone will tell me that I look really good that day. As I have aged, I have notice changes in my skin. I truly believe Lauren's make up addresses those changes !

Mica in powder!

4/17/2007 - Erin of California, USA writes:

The big selling point of her infomercial was that her powders don't contain mica. Well, I ordered the face disk (which is STILL on backorder) and the moisturizer with powder and lip balm as an extra ($29). The 2nd ingredient on the powder is ... mica. The moisturizer is okay but it has no sunscreen and has retin-a in it. So, I can't just wear it outside during the day. The matte effect does not work if you put it on over a sunscreen moisturizer. I'm going back to the !@#! mall.

Loyal Customer/Love it

3/29/2007 - Margie of Oregon, USA writes:

What works for one person may not work for someone else, but I think Lauren Huttons makeup and skin care line is great! I have spent a few years researching makeup brands. I am 42 and I have worn two of the higher end most popular mineral makeup lines.(they are on TV) They make me itch when I sweated, and gave me a whitish appearance after a few hours of applying it. I found out the ingredients they had were Bismuth Oxychloride, Mica and Titanium chloride. Bismuth is what they use in nuclear reactors! But its not toxic. Anyone can look those names up online to see for themselves. Laurens makup does not have these ingredients, and they disclose the ingredients online for you. I have several of her products and there is no fragrance and I've had people ask me what I've been using. Honestly it lasts all day and its great.

I like it

1/21/2007 - Anonymous of British Columbia, Canada writes:

I don't wear a lot of makeup, particulary foundation, as I don't care for the look but I have used this product for about a year and I like it. I would advise you not to buy it if you are looking for heavy coverage. This is more medium to light coverage. I am happy with how the makup colour is a good match with my skin. I was skeptical that they would blend well but they do. I have not found any problem with the texture of the products. The disk is reasonably large in diameter (5") but it is also only 1/4" thick and I find it very convenient for travelling. I also REALLY like that you can reorder only what you need 'cause obviously not everyone is going to use all of the disks of makeup or use them at the same rate. It makes great environmental and economic sense.

Brushes great, but junky package!

1/20/2007 - Elizabeth of New York, USA writes:

I have to say that the Lauren Hutton products in and of themselves are pretty decent but I found some of the stuff in the Face Disk to be overkill; I don't need five shades of concealer! The blush has great texture and I like how you can pat it over the lip balm; it really wears well! The brushes were high quality, but my problem is with the disk package itself. I'd barely had it a month before the magnets that hold the color pans just failed, and I couldn't keep them stuck in their places and carry the makeup with me at the same time; I'd open up and there'd be little pans of stuff flying everywhere. I'd buy it again if I knew I could trust it for being more sturdy. If I wanted crud packaging, I'd have gone to the drug store and paid a crud price.

Its all that and More!

1/12/2007 - Tammie of Indiana, USA writes:

I bought this at the age of 46 and have been using it for 1 1/2 years. I love it and have had a lot of compliments on how good and young I look. I will never use anything else! I love the brushes, the disc pac...everything it is the best I have ever used!

Favorite all-in-one make-up!

12/30/2006 - Je of Adana, Turkey writes:

On a whim, I purchased this product. I liked the idea of all my make-up and brushes in one area, of being taught how to apply make-up (never had that "talk" with mom), and of using only as much make-up as needed. This make-up does all that as promised!

Powder Ok- Brushes Splintered!

12/5/2006 - Barb of California, USA writes:

Basically powder is ok & diagram for application is ok. The value for $$ is negatively affected by makeup brushes that splintered after the first use! Poor quality merchandise is in very poor taste by a "FAMOUS REP" and moves the overall rating down to fair at best!

I love this stuff

11/24/2006 - Sally of Ohio, USA writes:

I love this stuff! I look fresh, natural and not heavily made up. I am always being told that I look 10 years younger than I actually am, and the Face Disk has helped me look that way. Good up the good work, Lauren!

Finally, makeup for baby boomers

8/12/2006 - Karen of Ohio, USA writes:

I love this product. Finally makeup that conceals, highlights and does not settle in lines and wrinkles. It also does not slide over our face as the day goes on... It is without a doubt, "Good Stuff"

don't bother

7/26/2006 - Jenn of Alberta, Canada writes:

I bought this thinking that the coverage would be as good as promised. It's NOT. I spent more time trying to figure out how to use the product and it still took longer than if I did my makeup the conventional way. I use foundation and powder everyday with no problems. I found I needed to still use foundation to cover up the red dots or other blemishes and I have fairly clear skin anyhow. The powder to disguise the double chin was useless.

Works Great!

3/30/2006 - Johne of Colorado, USA writes:

I received this make up as a gift for Christmas. Even though I had wanted Sheer Cover - I was happy I got the face disc after I tried it. The concealer works great and even though I don't wear make up everyday, it is nice to have something that I can put on in usually less than 10 minutes.

Make-up for Women over 40

3/15/2006 - Lovette of Texas, USA writes:

Product is good if you just want light coverage. I only use the powder and blush. The concealers did not work for me. You could probaly go cheaper by buying a translucent powder for coverage and a blush that fits your skin tone at the local drugstore. I will not purchase again. Disk is too big.

arrived as a melted mess

2/11/2006 - Cathy of Georgia, USA writes:

I ordered this product in the summer and when it arrived, it had partially melted and the top of the concealers were covered in what looked like chicken fat. I wiped that off just to give it a try. Now thatit's winter, I have to use the blow dryer to soften it. It's very waxy, I use the concealers sometime, but everything else is useless which is a shame because the disc is so large that you can't carry it around.
