Loud and not very useful

1/12/2008 - Jewel of Oregon, USA writes:

I bought this product and it took me a few hours to put together. You need plenty of space and is *very* awkward to move (the foot pedals don't lock but are always free moving). There is only 2 ways to use this: free moving or with resistance--but only with one level of resistance. You connect the pumps to the pedals/arms and it's LOUD! Only when using it without the resistance is it really quiet and fun to do--but provides very little exercise. I found it boring to do after 15 or so minutes. The little "computer" doesn't work properly to measure your heart beat either.

Awkward

11/4/2007 - Zach of Indiana, USA writes:

My parents bought this item a couple years ago. It seemed great. Yeah, its lightweight, assembly isnt too hard, then you step on it, and.... This is the most awkward workout device I have ever used, and quite frankly, doesnt really feel ergonomic. I have worked out on many machines, used free weights, elipticals, stationary bikes, and rowing machines; and would gladly recommend any of these over the Gazelle. Its hard to use properly, feels unsafe, and doesnt seem like you are getting a good workout for the time you spent on it. If you're looking for a home product like this, go out and buy a recumbent stationary bike instead. Thats what my parents did a couple weeks after buying the Gazelle. We all used it, and the Gazelle retired to the closet...

Worth It

2/22/2007 - Christopher of Florida, USA writes:

The Gazelle is perfect for when you need something quick and easy to do as exercise. For some folks, all they need is a little activity in their life. Find a favorite TV show you can watch every day for an hour while you walk / swoosh on the Gazelle. Perfect for those who don't wanna leave the house or can't leave the house due to weather or other reasons. It does squeak a little bit so have the WD-40 handy to lube it up every few weeks.

Everything it promised.

11/14/2006 - Shannon of Nova Scotia, Canada writes:

I've been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia, and often, getting bundled up and outside for, say, a walk, takes more energy than I have. My family got the Gazelle about six months ago, and we haven't regretted it. It's easy on the joints and if I'm sore or tired, it's simply a matter of climbing on for even a minute or two. Very convenient. Ours is a bit squeaky, but perhaps we're not maintaining it properly. Regardless, this product does everything it promises, and more.

love it! it works!

10/15/2006 - Katrina of Michigan, USA writes:

I purchased this product in December of 2003. I used it 3 days a week along with weights the other 3 days. i lost 30 pounds in 3 months without changing my diet at all. I tried to change it, but those after work (11pm) cravings were ugly. I tried to go back to the treadmill, but couldn't.

GAZELLE IS FABULOUS

11/23/2005 - Susan of Maine, USA writes:

I purchased the Gazelle approximately 2 months ago as a replacement for going to a gym - we moved to Maine and travelling to a gym in the winter months was unappealing to me. The Gazelle not only provides me with a terrific cardiovascular workout, it also trains my abs, buttocks thighs, arms and chest with one motion! It's FUN! When I first started, it seemed that I would never be able to sustain a smooth rythym, however, sticking to it pays off. I feel terrific - my clothes feel better - I'm standing taller (or so it feels!) and walking with confidence. I recommend it for a total workout in the comfort of home! My husband saw how much I love using it and has begun using it as well!

Had it for years & Love it

10/16/2005 - Sherry of Florida, USA writes:

I bought my gazelle at least 5 yrs ago if not longer. It seems to be stronger made than the ones I've seen in the stores lately. I love it. I have back problems and it I get a good workout w/o any stress on my back or joints. I have the work out tapes for it and they are great.Tony's coaching is very positive and encouraging on them.  I had to replace a leg and pedal which was inexpensive and had good customer service. The monitor for speed, time and distance is average quality. I would highly recommend the gazelle especially for people w/arthritis, joint or back problems.

Absolutely Fabulous

9/5/2005 - Fran of Ontario, Canada writes:

I have been using this product daily since March 16, 2005, and I cannot recommend it highly enough.  You get a total body workout, upper and lower, which was very important to me.  The tapes are excellent, and make me chuckle while working out.  I have lost 84 lbs since November 1/04, so far, and I attribute a lot of my success to the cardio each morning before work on the Gazelle.  Try it, you'll love the workout, the stretching, the increased flexibility, and the general all-around good feeling after you've completed your 50 minutes or so.
