I purchased these from a local store that had a pack of 5 for sale, I installed them when I got home and even though my doors were not flush the fact there was a gap didn't seem to affect it. I put the product on, turned it on and opened my door and heard a loud alarm! I then turned the doorbell on and got a pleasent chime when the door was opened. I liked it so I installed them on all my first floor windows. The alarm IS loud enough to scare away a crook, and is loud enough to hear if you are in the same house as the alarm. I have had no issues hearing it go off. Good product.

I love this product. My husband was deployed to Iraq and I have 4 children and no alarm on my house. I bought these and tested them and felt alot better. Alarms are loud. I can hear them in the basement, main floor and upstairs loud and clear. I only had 1 out of 8 alarms fall off one of my doors. Overall, this is a great product.

I purchased this little alarm in a set of four for my daughter to use in her apartment. The first thing we noticed was that when the alarm went off on her front door she could not hear it in her bedroom. The second thing is that after just a few weeks every one of them simply fell off the doors and windows where they were installed. She is moving into an apartment with an alarm system built in.

It does what it says it will do it. But be warned they are hard to install unless the are is perfectly flat. Windows are good, but doors are hard because of the way they are made with the trim and all. The chime feature is incredibly loud. The siren noise is deafening though so be careful when installing you don't want this thing to go off within a few feet of your ear. I boght these at [].
