My Dad picked this up at a swap meet or something, and suggested his chef daughter try making some of her famous devilled eggs for his birthday. Well, I tried. I re-read the directions and tried again. And again. At the end, I had a bunch of shredded eggs sitting in shell pieces. Lucky thing eggs are so good for dogs, and they don't mind a bit of crunch. Dad got his devilled eggs, but I peeled them the old-fashioned way- which I happen to be very good at, and it took me way less time to get a perfectly peeled egg than it did to get a shredded egg covered in shell from this piece of junk. Gave the pump to my boyfriend and suggested he make something with it- I think it's residing as a hidey hole in his friend's hamster cage.

I purchased this new from a Thrift store, thank God. I didn't pay much and found out it was total junk. I threw it away after a week.
Does not work as advertised.

I naively believed the advertising and thought this would be a great time-saver. Once the product arrived I immediately tried it out. With great effort I was able to get it to work about half of the time. It now sits in the back of my cupboard waiting to be donated contantly reminding me how much of a sucker I am!

I love egg salad, so when I saw the Eggstractor in my local [] for about six dollars I said what the heck and bought it. It took a while to get the hang of it--the commercial shows the egg coming out shell free but every egg I ever did I had to take the other half of the shell off. I found that peeling eggs under running water with a paper towel wrapped around my thumb stopped the cuts, and the Eggstractor found its way to my garbage can. Stay away!

I didn't realize you must use medium size eggs. I prefer large and they don't fit thru the product. I purchased medium eggs and still found the product to not work well. Waste of time and money. Too bad though... I was looking forward to the easiest way to make deviled eggs for catering.

I bought the eggsstractor and I thought it was good. You have to read the directions. You have to poke the egg's air sac and smash the bottom of the egg...if you dont read and follow the directions it wont work.

Tried this product exactly how the direction said, the egg would not go through the hole. My husband pressed on the eggstactor really hard and the egg finally went through the whole in million pieces and all over the counter. Save your money !

This was a horrid product. Every way I tried to make the product work and it didn't. It seemed that if you didn't get the egg exactly in the middle and the air correctly it wasn't working.

If you enjoying throwing money away by all means buy this. If you want value for your buck, don't bother because this isn't worth a quarter. Too bad I can't give it negative stars. I threw it away after 3 of us tried to use this "eggstractor" following the instructions to the letter. What a joke? And the free egg slicer? Oh yeah, that was about as well made as the eggstractor. It went into the trash also after 3 wires broke slicing a egg.

Do NOT waste your money on this thing. I love boiled eggs and all that good stuff so i figured this might make my life easier. WRONG. This stupid contraption cause me more grief than getting in a car crash. Yes it is seriously that bad. You can sit there and follow everything down to the Tee and it will NOT work. You hit the compressor thing hard, the egg bounces out. I sat there for like 45 mins trying to get it to work. When I finally got the egg to come out, it was in half with the she STILL ATTACHED! The only thing I found useful in the entire box were the free bonus egg slicer and the recipe book. So take your $10 and go buy an egg platter at the grocery store. It will save you time and frustration ( I literally got so mad at it I threw it out what I thought was an open window).

I bought this product because I make a LOT of deviled eggs and egg salad for my family and for church events. I constantly find that I have small cuts on my fingers from peeling the eggs, and I usually have a number of eggs that I can't serve as deviled eggs since they don't peel well. I have tried this product about 6 or 7 times now (each time with between 6 and 12 eggs to peel, exactly as the directions say (using ice water to soak them in after they've boiled, poking as they say, etc.) and have yet to have even ONE egg peeled by the Eggstractor. Most of the time they won't even go through the gadget, though sometimes they slip through the hole, still in perfect shell. Needless to say, I am not pleased with my $10 purchase.
