I didn't see the infomercial, but my parents had these and liked them so I bought them []. First I got rid of the flimsy little yellow vents that did nothing. The times are specific to the size of the egg, how you like them cooked and the exact microwave you're using. You must experiment. I like them because I can make just one egg with no added fat from cooking and no pan to clean up. I cook the egg until the yolk is firm then eat it seasonsed with just salt and pepper. It tastes like a hard-boiled egg. The Egg Wave goes into the dishwasher.

My boyfriend and I had a grand time betting on which of the egg waves would blow up first in the microwave! But for folks seriously trying to prepare the delicious-looking egg ideas shown on the ad, don't get your hopes up. You'll spend more time cleaning the microwave and the egg waves than if you cooked your eggs the old fashioned way.

I think this works really well. The times in the book were not right. once I got the times right the egg is a liitle runny and the yoke is runny. I just use it to have runny with out using a hole pan. Other wise just use a bowl. Cleaning was a pain at first but I stoped using the little plastic things they provide and use a rubber speader. Great for sandwiches, grits and any other runny eggs.
