I love the Cat Genie. Well worth the money!!! My husband and I are very busy with kids and career and don't want to mess with the liter. We haven't had to touch anything in the month we have had it. The cats used it immediately without a problem. It cleans itself and I smell nothing. We love it!!!

The very first day my cat genie arrived it failed to operate. There is a smart chip in the cleaning cartridge that will stop the entire unit from operating. If I had known this, I would have bought something else! $369 and I'm waiting for replacement parts. I'm giving them one more shot to send out a cleaning cartridge that works, but so far, save your money and keep looking. It's made in China, So no wonder it arrived broken right out of the box!

I have multiple cats and purchased this as a way of saving on time spent cleaning litter boxes and the cost of the litter. I should mention that I purchased this unit a year ago, and there have been modifications made since then to eliminate some of the problems I encountered. I had my friend hook it up and he didn't seem to have any problem doing so. My unit and I have a love/hate relationship. When it works, it really is wonderful, but when it doesn't it can be very frustrating. Sometimes you will get an error beep for no reason that can easily be determined. The support team is very knowledgeable and very helpful and have replaced a number of parts at no cost to me, sending me the parts next day service so I can get the litter box running again. Pros: Excellent support Provides a clean litter box for cats Easy to install Company is proactive with 2 year warranty Cons: The unit is expensive, as are the products you need to keep it running. It will clog, which prevents it from draining, so I don't recommend leaving it on if you will not be there at some point during a 24 hour period to resolve it's issue.
