Just a terrible piece of junk

I bought one of these guitars for my daughter for Christmas and it really was a piece of junk. I put a brand new set of strings on it and it would NOT tune. You literally could not get it in tune! Sent it back, etc. Trust me when it comes to a musical instrument...if the deal sounds to good to be true? It IS!

We bought this for our 13 year old son. To be honest I think my husband wanted it because the guys is from Pittsburgh, Pa and that is where he grew up. I did not want to invest a ton into a guitar and lessons if he was not going to be interested after a few weeks. Let me just say after a few days he was playing some songs. I found him a guitar instructor and then ditched him. Not worth the money for live lessons. If you don't get it the first time w/the Cd's you can rewind and see it again. At $25.00 per 1/2 hour for private lessons with the first 15 min. them just talking about whatever. This paid for it's self very quickly and when he was ready I purchased another set of Learning Cd's a friend recommended. Been over a year now. Something wrong with the amp plug but guitar still works great. Bought him a better guitar, will use this one for his younger brother and sister. What you get for the money I give it a 5 stars descent quality for the money.
Don't buy this guitar!!

I am a professional guitarist and instructor with over 40 years experience. The Esteban guitars that I have played (over a dozen) are all junk. You can buy a good starter guitar at your local music shop for less and get a real instrument. The instructional material included with the Esteban guitars has errors, just a complete waste of money. I have put up a sign in my studio warning my students about these junk guitars.

I bought this guitar and package for my girlfriend for Christmas. At first the guitar looked asthecially pleasing but it didn't sound quite right. The "B" string had to be replaced immediately and the bridge didn't seem very well crafted or attached. I brought the guitar to a guitar shop and they showed me why we couldn't get a good sound out it. The neck was warped beyond repair. The technician informed me that several Esteban guitars have come been brought in and all were not worth the price of the guitar to try to repair. He actually had another one in his shop he couldn't fix and showed a a "shoe print" inside the guitar. An actually shoe print where someone at the factory stepped on the wood, left theier foot print, and they made the guitar and sold it that way. So much for quality control right?I sent the guitar back and for over a month and a half I've been waiting for a replacement. Ive called several times and have been told several times it was going to be shipped but they just keep lying to me. My girlfriend had signed up for lessons and needed a guitar so she bought herself a beautiful playing and sounding Yamaha guitar. So much for her christmas present from me. Would I recommend this guitar.....not to my worst enemy!! This is a piece of junk and I think Esteban should be ashamed to have his named attached to it. DO NOT BUY THIS GUITAR!!!! Do yourself a favor and go to your nearest guitar store. Live and learn right?
Why Estaban Wears a Mask

I now know why Estaban wears the mask! He is a crook! I bought this guitar and after a month I could not play the guitar. It is of such cheap quality, if I was Estaban I'd wear a mask also. I tried to get them to exchange the guitar but all that I got was a run around for six months. I even tried to send the guitar back but they returned it saying that I needed a return numbeer which they would never send me. Tell every one you know NOT to buy from Estaban!
Poor quality

My husband bought me this guitar [] as he wanted to get it from a website he knew I wouldn't guess he would be shopping from. Within 5 minutes of opening the guitar, my father had one of the strings break on him. It came with an extra set and he changed them. Next day I was using the guitar for less than 10 minutes and second string broke. So I went to change all the strings as other site recommendations made. Inside the guitar itself some of the wood is not even glued down flat. The neck of the guitar is painted on and the black finish comes off on your hands within minutes of using. Also on the first day I received the plastic piece on the front popped off and a wire stuck out. The local guitar store says the guitar is not worth the price to fix the defects. Also it was supposed to come with Volumes 1-5 a learning dvd set. I got 2 copies of 1 and no 5. I would not recommend this guitar to anyone, it is definitely not worth the price of anything none the less $200. Save yourself the heartache of disappointment and go to a real guitar store to buy your product.
Great Acoustic Sound

Upon inspection of the guitar it appears excellent quality. It is a light weight construction and balanced with the headstock. This is great because it allows you to keep the guitar level when playing to avoid adverse strain on the hands. It offers excellent acoustic sound. I would have preferred a satin finish on the back of the neck instead of a laquered black for faster neckwork. The onboard equalizer is good quality, but the amp it comes with provides poor sound. The overdrive distortion is staticy rather than crisp. You won't need the amp unless you are playing a concert hall as the tone is crisp and loud on its own. The tuners are what surprised me the most, they are the equivalent to grover tuners. Anyone who plays guitar knows what I'm talking about. You will have to restring it when it first arrives.You'll have a great sounding guitar at a low price.

I received the estaban guitar package and everything was perfect. Great guitar and great accessories. Even Better, I signed up for the 3 payment option and I've had it for 2 months now and they've only billed me for $66 dollars, haven't been able to get a hold of them through any means. So I just got the whole package for $66 dollars lol....yes..excellent

My name is Brad and i have badly damaged hands and one only needs to see my hands to know.Yet listening to Esteban's dvd and playing the American Legacy guitar i can play both with my fingers and flat pick on this guitar.I am not the fastest guitar player but i can do something that many years ago could not do.Play with my fingers.I am forty five years old and it feels good to play again Brad

I have tried this product and am extremely satisfied. The sound quality is excellent and the instructional DVDs are superb! The complete package of the guitar, extra strings, hardshell case, strap, amp and instructionsal DVDs are well worth the price and then some. I have purchased 4 various models of this guitar! It is perfect for the beginner or mid-level guitarist. I am extremely satisfied!
Wonderful Starter Guitar

As a beginner guitar player I found this to be a wonderful starter guitar. You can’t be the quality for the price. I looked at other starter guitars and they wanted $500 to $800 just for an acoustic guitar! With the Esteban guitar I can play acoustic songs or plug it into an amp and rock out. This guitar is well worth the initial investment. ROCK ON!!!

This is a Chinese guitar that reeks of bad quality and imminent dissapointment. It is an acoustic electric, with some sort of Piezo Electric pickup beneath the poorly crafted bridge. There was a lot of glue that had oozed out of the joints. The guitar that I reviewed came with an amp, case, and instructional materials. Also the sound is passable as an acoustic, but as soon as you plug it in it's like biting into a crap sandwich. I have been playing for 15+ years, and all I can say about this guitar is that I would not take one, even if it came with a bucket of cash! I have lots of different guitars, and a decent home studio. This guitar belongs nowhere near it. Also what PISSED me off the most is on the infomercial he plays various songs using the guitar which sounds like this guitar is really good, but in reality that guitar is probably not the same one that he is selling to you... Overall this product isn't worth the money..
