Product Description
The Aero Garden is an in-home herb, fruit, and vegetable growing system. The manufacturers refer to it as the world's first kitchen garden appliance. They also say that the Aero Garden grows fast times faster than dirt harvest. The Aero Garden does not use dirt to grow produce. It has a built-in plant lighting system. The Aero Garden "bio dome" comes pre-seeded. One simply needs to add water to Aero Garden and the plant will grow. No prior gardening experience is needed in order to use the aerogarden system. Aero Garden costs $149, but the seed kits are about $20. Several seed kits are available: basil, cherry tomatoes, strawberries, salad greens, chili peppers, and more. Aero Garden reviews can be found below when available.

I'm a believer!!

2/24/2008 - Jamie of Ohio, USA writes:

I saw this infomercial in October, shortly after moving all my herbs inside for the winter. As I have a basement apartment and herbs require lots of sun light and heat- even the robust ones died within a week. After weeks of annoying my friends and family, I recieved my Aero Garden for my birthday in November. I was a skeptic, as were all my friends, and we were all excited when the product actually did what it promised. My cilantro didn't sprout- but I took the pod apart to inspect it and I really dislike cilantro so I'm not complaining. It is now February, and I make a fresh batch of pesto every week to freeze. I even over-harvest the basil plants, and they bounce back in less than a week! This garden works so well, we have even clustered all of our other sickly looking houseplants around it, and they are now thriving too! I think I need to buy another!

AeroGarden

Having been a gardener most of my life, and after seeing this on TV in the doldrums of dreary November. I knew I had to have one, nah! TWO. I purchased two after they went on sale at the [] for 100.00 a piece. The manager said "We can't keep them in stock!" Easy to set up. Easy to use, and your hands don't even get dirty. I started out with the standard herb kit and lettuce. The lettuce lasted about 2 months then went to seed. It produced a lot of lettuce in such a little space. Herb's are still growing. The mint is out of control! Chives didn't do that good Planted cherry tomatoes which germinated in 6 days they are now about 4" high. One option you can purchase is the seed starter tray for around 30 and start up to 70 seedling inside for spring planting. Don't use there seed kits! There is enough info on the net to take the starter kits pods and use "ROCKWOOL" as the seed media and your own seeds. For $19.95 thats a whole lot of Rock wool and seeds

Aero Garden

For the good: it was very easy to set up. Bad: I've tred to contact customer service with the 800# they supply and was left on hold both times for over a half hour. I finally gave up emailed them instead 2 days ago and have not heard back from anyone. All I have is a simple question: one of the pods is not sprouting-will they replace and when.

fun, possibly overkill

4/14/2007 - Dave of New York, USA writes:

We bought ours retail just before Christmas. It's a lot of fun watching the sprouts come up the first week. But if you don't keep trimming the plants back, you may run into overcrowding, so make sure you'll be able to use a whole heck of a lot of whatever is in your seed kit. Recurring costs: new seed kit every few months, new bulbs twice a year, electricity. Recurring effort: add water when the light flashes, add tablets when the light flashes, trim the plants back.

Fianlly Fresh Herbs

4/8/2007 - Christine of Kentucky, USA writes:

I purchased the Aerogarden 6 weeks ago because I love fresh herbs and have a black thumb. We are in a remote area and herbs run about $3.00 for what is a small amount that wilts and dies in a few days. I love this appliance. I did have a problem in that the cilantro did not sprout but the company took it back no questions asked and sent me another seed pod. This truly is very easy to do, little maintenance is required and I just had my first harvest of chives, dill, basil, mint, and parsley. Fresh herbs do make a difference in your cooking and you can grow them year round. I do believe I will get my money's worth and am thrilled with our aerogarden. I can't wait to grow tomatoes, petunias, strawberries, and salad greens. I am almost tempted to buy another garden.

Exceeds Expectations

4/5/2007 - John of Colorado, USA writes:

I am going into my sixth week with the AeroGarden. It has been fun for the kids and us to watch the herbs grow. Last week we had enough cilantro and parsley to add to a delicious salad. We're hooked. Can't wait to try tomatoes and strawberries.
