Multiple Benefits

4/13/2007 - Bob of Florida, USA writes:

A a basic exercise unit that will modestly help your stomach. However, it will also improve your posture and reduce lumbar back pain. Neither my wife nor I have seen a big reduction in waist size, after two months of use. Initially the first week there was a lot of stomach muscle "burn" sensation. Assembly was installing two stabilizing bars, but it was a bit confusing. I added a foam cover (water pipe insulation) to the top handle strap to make it more comfortable during use. The unit is easy to use and only takes, literally, two or three minutes of use to feel results. It's as user friendly as a Total Gym, which we also have. The AbLounge, Total Gym and Schwinn exercise bike have been the most user friendly and have gotten long term use. We bought and sold an elliptical glider, a ski machine (Gazelle type machine), etc. as not being user friendly.

DON'T BUY IT

3/29/2006 - James of Georgia, USA writes:

This is the worst thing I've ever bought. First of all, you don't need an ablounge, roller, body by jake or all that crap. Just lower your body fat level and doing a few good exercises will help you get those abs. Don't buy any gimmiks like these just search through the internet & you could find execises & diet plans for free!! I can't beleive I wasted almost 100 bucks on this, if you're thinking on buying this to get a 6-pack don't even think about it. By the way, have you seen anyone with a 6-pack from using the ab lounge???? Duh, it's a bunch of overhyped stuff and is being rated as a good abdominal machine for nothing.. don't get it.

Keeps you off the floor

3/10/2006 - Trilby of Ohio, USA writes:

I purchased the Ab Lounge and have only a couple of cons. The rest are pros. First con, it is rather difficult to put together. Secondly, it doesn't fold up "for easy storage." As for the pros, it keeps you off the floor. For those who suffer with back problems, getting on the floor and actually being able to do a "crunch" is difficult if not impossible. If used correctly, the Ab Lounge is an effective abdominal workout. Beginners should feel a good burn after only a few reps if they maintain proper form and don't pull with their arms. If I had to, I would definitely purchase this item again.

Not bad

3/6/2006 - Anonymous of Kentucky, USA writes:

I bought the ab lounge 2, it's not great, but not bad either. I saw results, just having the product made me work out, along with the fact that it doesn't fold. Kinda hard to put together, but overall, not bad.

I like it!

2/11/2006 - Elizabeth of Florida, USA writes:

I like this product but if you don't follow the exercise video for positioning, you won't feel much. It was difficult to put together though, the instruction sheet was pretty cryptic; I used the picture on the box to put the thing together and my husband had to help with one of the screws that wouln't line up correctly with the threads. Its comfortable to sit in though and you can use it while watching tv.

Don't waste your money

12/17/2005 - Nora of Texas, USA writes:

The Ab Lounge is something you can buy that you could already do at home. The ab workouts feel exactly the same (maybe not even as great) as regular crunches on the floor. This exercise equipment just took up space and turned into a chair. Do not waste your money on this product because you can't even do a variety of exercises. And you really aren't getting a good workout no matter how great it looks on the infomercial. If you really want abs, try something else or just do the old-fashioned crunches, they are alot better at toning abs than this product.
